WEATHER
CONDITIONS

BIOTIC
CONDITIONS
| Rodents abundance evaluation: |
low
Breeding conditions:
| Rough-legged Buzzard, Snowy Owl and skuas (three species) did not breed. Only a few pairs of Glaucous Gull attempted breeding. Arctic Foxes did not reproduce; they were completely absent from inland areas of the Peninsula, with only solitary individuals encountered near the coast. As a result of the favourable weather and low predation, breeding success of waders and ducks was high.
Rodent dynamics:
| Lemming abundance was low.
